Outside of work, Lovitch is a news junkie who enjoys knitting, race-walking, going to the theater, watching classic films and spending time with her rescue animals, a miniature dachshund named Leroy and her cat, Boo Boo Kitty.

Lovitch previously served as a freelance researcher at Marie Claire. She is also a published writer, editor and produced playwright.
In addition to What to Expect, Lovitch has worked as a research editor and writer at various publications, including Glamour, Weight Watchers, Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, Essence and O, The Oprah Magazine.

Lovitch holds a B.A. in journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia.
