The 9 Best Double Strollers for Families with Two (or More) Kids

best double strollers

Quick Summary

The best double stroller is the Baby Jogger City Select 2 Double Stroller, according to parents in the What to Expect community who love its ease of use, smooth maneuverability and many seat configuration options.

As I prepared to become a mom of two children under 2 years old, I personally found it challenging to decide on a double stroller that worked for my family’s needs. Between the different types of strollers (side-by-side, in-line, convertible) and seating configurations (some double strollers boast 20 or more seating configurations!), the decision can be seriously overwhelming.

But the search is well worth the effort: If you have a baby and a young toddler, as I did, it’s nearly impossible to go for a walk or run an errand without a double stroller. These roomier strollers not only help get your kids from point A to point B safely (and without any pleas to be carried!), but they also help lug all your stuff — after all, two kids means twice the gear.

If you're expecting twins or getting ready to welcome baby number two, read on for some of our favorite double strollers.

How we chose the best double strollers

As a mom of two who spent a great deal of time researching double strollers before purchasing one, I used my own experience to come up with a list of options to consider. I evaluated strollers based on features that I found were most important while testing double strollers, such as those that were easy to maneuver despite pushing two kids, as well as strollers that allowed for a wide variety of seat configurations so I could use it with two kids under 2 years old and as they got older. To get the opinion of even more parents who have tested double strollers, however, I also used feedback from parents in the What to Expect community what their favorite double strollers were and what features were most important.

Ultimately, I narrowed down my list to the nine best double strollers, selecting models that are:

  • Easy to maneuver
  • Available in a range of seat configurations
  • Equipped with plenty of storage space

Why We Love It

For ultimate traveling-with-two flexibility, What to Expect community members overwhelmingly recommend the Baby Jogger City Select 2. This is a convertible stroller with up to 24 different seating configurations. Parents love that it offers options for use with a single child, twins, a toddler and an infant, and even three kids (twins and a toddler or an infant and two toddlers) with the addition of a riderboard.

This is a sleek, upscale-looking stroller with a number of high-end features that make it a pleasure to use. Parents rave about the telescoping handlebar and one-handed fold, which is unusually compact. There’s also a roomy storage basket, UPF 50+ canopy with a peekaboo window and reclining seats.

What’s more, the all-terrain tires and narrow frame make it somewhat easier to maneuver than many other single-to-double strollers on the market. For that reason, it’s a particularly good choice for families who live in cities or often need to navigate tricky terrain.

The City Select 2’s biggest downside is that it’s sold as a single, and you do need to invest in a number of attachments to make it work for two kids. All together, that can get a little confusing — and expensive (although taking advantage of Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Prime Day sales, as well as using a registry completion discount, can help make it more affordable). Here are the attachments you’ll need based on your family’s situation:

  • To add a second seat: You’ll need to purchase the City Select 2 Second Seat Kit $200).
  • To attach an infant car seat: Reviewers appreciate how compatible this stroller is with a variety of car seats, an especially helpful feature for parents of multiples who drive often. You can purchase the stroller and Baby Jogger’s GO 2 infant car seat together as part of a travel system bundle, which also includes the necessary adapters. Other compatible car seats include those from Britax, Chicco, Cybex, Graco, Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Peg Perego and UPPAbaby (check the full list of car seat compatibility on the retailer’s website). The most cost-effective way to use this stroller with an infant car seat is to purchase it as part of the travel system bundle, which includes the City Select 2 stroller, the GO 2 infant car seat and adapters (which you can also purchase separately). For twins, you’ll need to purchase a second compatible infant car seat and adapters.
  • To transport a third child: Have a newborn and a toddler and suspect you may try for number three down the line? The City Select 2 can convert to a triple with the addition of the glider board.

  • “I LOVE our City Select. It was our first purchase when we found we were expecting again since our girls will be 15 months apart. We've been using it with our oldest as a single stroller and it is so easy to steer one-handed, super compact (I can fit it in the backseat of my Camry) and I love how versatile it is with how the seats lie back and have a good canopy.”

  • “YES! I have the stroller and a 2012 Civic and it fits well with room to spare! Like others said, you take off the second seat to fold it up but then that lays right over it. My twins are 2 years 8 months and it is the only stroller we've ever needed.”

  • “I have the City Select! I think it’s pretty great. It is pretty heavy/bulky. However, the flexibility to have it be a single or double stroller outweighs the negatives.”

Why We Love It

Many of the most affordable double strollers are lightweight, umbrella-style models. But if you’re looking for a full-size double stroller that can function as your everyday travel companion with flexibility and ample storage to boot, the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Modular Stroller is the way to go.

This convertible stroller is a favorite among What to Expect parents, many of whom compare it to pricier models like the Uppababy Vista V2. Evenflo’s stroller starts as a single and can convert to a double with the addition of a second toddler seat, which is sold separately. As its name suggests, the frame expands to add a second seat with a clever slide and lock system (no additional tools, parts or adapters are needed). There are up to 23 possible seating configurations, too.

A number of What to Expect parents call out how durable and well-made the Pivot Xpand is for the price. And this stroller’s impressive list of features does compete with models that cost hundreds more: There’s an adjustable handle, adjustable footrest, included cup holder and simple, compact fold. The stroller also self-stands when folded — a nice touch.

Like many other single-to-doubles, the Xpand is heavy and can be a bit clunky to maneuver. Some parents note that the wheels aren’t ideal for bumpier terrain, so this stroller may not be a good choice for those families who would often push it on gravel or cobblestone roads.

Here’s what you’ll need to use this stroller as a double:

  • To add a second seat: Purchase the Pivot Xpand 2nd Seat ($150).
  • To attach an infant car seat: You can purchase the stroller and Evenflo’s SafeMax infant car seat together as part of a travel system bundle. This is by far the most cost-effective way to use this stroller with an infant car seat. For twins, you’ll need to purchase a second Evenflo infant car seat.
Community Reviews
  • “Evenflo Xpand is great. It’s a single-to-double. You’ll have to buy a second toddler seat once baby is big enough, but the single-to-double is so easy if you only have one with you.”

  • “I have it and I love it! The only cons I can think of are the wheels are plastic so they don’t go ‘off roading’ well and the carriage is very large. So it’s awkward to manage at times if you’re a short person. There’s also no spot for your keys or anything on the handle bar. The carriage turns into a toddler seat but it’s not good for big toddlers (2 years and up), my nephew barely fits in it and he’s a tall 2-year-old. The quality is nice, it’s very versatile, the basket on the bottom is huge! It folds down fairly small. I love that you can just snap the car seat in without the toddler seat. I also love that the toddler seat and car seat can face both directions! Overall I’m happy with it!”

  • “The Evenflo Pivot Xpand is amazing! Got it when we had our second. As my oldest has gotten bigger (6) we got the kickboard for the back and that is great! We’ll be able to use it for all the kids.”

The BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 Duallie Double Jogging Stroller is a popular choice among What to Expect parents. The stroller’s adjustable suspension system and swivel locking front wheel glides around corners, leading to a smoother ride for baby (and an easier run for you). Your little ones might even fall asleep during your jog.

The padded handlebar is adjustable to nine positions, so it’s guaranteed to be a fit no matter your height — and it's easy to change up on the fly. The seats recline and there’s a large underseat storage area. It has a maximum weight of 100 pounds, which is on the higher end.

Jogging and double strollers are each known for being bigger and bulkier than other types of strollers, and this one is no exception. While parents do say the Flex 3.0 Duallie is large, most find that it makes up for size with maneuverability — multiple What to Expect parents say the wheels can push through pretty much everything, making it a great choice for families who need their everyday stroller to navigate tough terrain.

You can also opt to clip in one BOB or Britax infant car seat with adapters. (Just keep in mind that only one infant car seat can be attached, so you won’t be able to use this stroller with newborn twins.) With the infant car seat clipped in, you should wait to use this as a jogging stroller until baby is at least 8 weeks old.

  • "[I recommend] the BOB Revolution Flex Duallie. Hubby is 6 feet 2 inches and can adjust the handle, so it’s comfortable for him. It’s so smooth and pushes so easily. My toddler and baby weigh 50 pounds combined at this point and it still pushes easily. I use it daily for walks and used it with an infant seat for 4-5 months. I’ve never had an issue!"

  • “I loved my BOB Revolution Duallie! It’s a beast but I never had problems with it fitting through doors. If I had two littles I would get it again without a doubt.”

  • “I LOVE my BOB. I have the Revolution Flex 3.0 and got the car seat adapter for my Uppababy Mesa. It’s great and I think it has better suspension than my car!

To say What to Expect parents love the Uppababy Vista V2 would be an understatement: This ultra popular stroller won Best Stroller in our What to Expect Mom Must-Have Awards five years in a row, and was also recently awarded Best Convertible Stroller and Best Travel System by our editorial team. If you’re looking to invest in a long-term workhorse stroller that can grow with your family, the Vista V2 would be an excellent choice.

This is a single-to-double stroller, so it starts as a single and can convert to accommodate two and even three children.

At $1,000 for the stroller without any add-ons, the Vista V2 is undoubtedly expensive for a double stroller. But many parents do feel that the luxury price is fair considering how high-end its features are (100%full-grain leather accents, roomy under-carriage storage and a height-adjustable canopy, to name a few) as well as its overall performance.

Like many other double or single-to-double strollers, you wouldn’t describe the Vista V2 as being lightweight or particularly nimble. But parents do say that its maneuverability is solid, thanks in part to its spring-action tires, all-wheel suspension and a thoughtful design.

As with the City Select 2, the Vista V2 is not suitable for two children without extra attachments. Here’s what you’ll need to buy in order to use it with more than one child:

  • To add a second seat: Purchase the Rumbleseat V2 ($220), which also includes necessary second-seat adapters.
  • To attach an infant car seat: Select Chicco, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi and Nuna car seats are compatible with the Vista V2 with brand-specific adapters, but the Uppababy Mesa infant car seat ($330 for the car seat and base) is by far the most compatible here, since you don’t need any adapters to use it with the Vista V2. If you have twins, you can purchase two Mesa car seats and stack them in stadium seating. The most cost-effective way to buy the Mesa is to do so as part of the brand’s travel system bundle, which also includes the newborn bassinet.
  • To transport a third child: The Vista V2 can convert to a triple with the addition of the PiggyBack Ride-Along Board ($135).

  • “I have one for my singleton and LOVE IT! We use it everyday for 3-5 mile walks. We have a sanded nature area near our house that my dad takes the baby on and it handles it so well! Everyone that uses it says it’s like a Cadillac on wheels. I plan to use it for the twins and get my 1-year-old a push trike bike since she’s not big enough for the piggy back thing yet. Or have my daughter and one twin in the Uppababy and wear another twin. To save money, I added it to my Amazon registry and used my discount to save 20 percent. We also got the bassinet.”

  • “Yes we love the Vista! My hubs thought I was crazy for wanting it but now he is hooked and always wants to push it. Such a smooth ride and great maneuverability for having so much twin stuff!”

  • “I have the Vista with my twins and it's so nice. I got the Mesa car seats as well, and the whole system is like a dream. Snaps in and out so easily, maneuvers smoothly and I think looks really nice! I was always turned off by huge bulky double strollers, but anyway, I would HIGHLY recommend it if your budget allows it.”

Why We Love It

If you’d prefer a side-by-side double stroller that lets you push two newborns in bassinets from day one, the Bugaboo Donkey 5 Twin Bassinet and Seat Stroller stands apart. It’s one of just a few double strollers to offer this configuration (plus, you can also opt for two side-by-side infant car seats). The Donkey 5 also has one of the higher maximum weights of any double stroller on this list — children can ride in it until they’re 48.5 pounds, so you’ll get plenty of use out of it over the years.

Bugaboo is known for being a luxury stroller brand, and the Donkey 5 doesn’t disappoint. Reviewers praise the well-made frame, solid and highly maneuverable wheels, easy fold and sleek design. A top-mentioned feature is the mesh bassinet panel, which lets newborns look out at the world and keeps them cool on hot days.

Like other side-by-side double strollers, the Donkey 5 is reasonably wide. Some parents dislike that it doesn’t always fit through doorways (particularly if you have two infant car seats clipped in), though others find it slimmer and more maneuverable than comparable side-by-side strollers.

The biggest downside is the price, which is on the very high end for a double stroller. While the Donkey 5 is undeniably expensive, the listing price does include more than most other strollers do. Two newborn bassinets and seats are included, which can often cost several hundred dollars extra.

  • “We have the Donkey Twin — we love it. It’s super easy to get in and out of the car and I can push it with one hand. The boys always look super comfy as well and I like that they are side by side. Downside is that it is BIG. It will fit through most standard doors (with the pram attachments) but won’t fit if you have car seats on as they add an extra inch. In summary, I love it, yes it’s expensive, but it works for us.”

  • “I have this pram for my 7-month twins and I love it, so easy to push. We now have a big car so we don’t need to fold it down into single mode every time, but I don’t find it difficult to fold down smaller if needed. The base can be heavy to lift when you're tired though, It fits through most doorways easily and they sleep well while we are out so it must be comfortable.”

  • “Do not sleep on the Bugaboo Donkey! My boys will be 1 in just about a month and I absolutely love it. I was between the Donkey and Vista. For me, as a FTM, I couldn’t imagine not being able to see both babies at once, so the side by side nature of the Donkey is what did it for me. We honestly haven’t found that we’ve had all too much trouble with the Donkey fitting through normal doorways because it is ADA-compliant, which means that it should fit through most commercial doorways no problem, which it does. …. Also, it’s so easy to click the stroller seats into the stroller itself and the stroller seats recline at any angle you want, and the canopy above provides so much shade, literally can extend to cover their entire bodies if you want it to. The only con really is that when you’re using it with the car seats, it can be a little challenging to click them into place, more specifically the second one is harder to click in when the first is already in place, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fine. Love the size of the storage space underneath too!”

Why We Love It

For a side-by-side double stroller that’s travel-friendly but still sturdy enough to double (no pun intended) as your everyday workhorse, look no further than the Zoe The Twin V2 (which was recently updated from the original Twin+ model). What to Expect parents rave about this stroller’s versatility. It comes with two side-by-side seats, but should your family grow in the future, The Twin V2 can expand to add a third or even fourth seat. Plus, the improved model can also accommodate one infant car seat, so you can use it from day one with a newborn and a toddler.

Unlike many side-by-side double strollers, this one is narrow enough to fit through doorways — something that can be hugely important when you’re traveling and navigating less-predictable environments. It’s also brilliantly lightweight: Compared to most of the other double strollers on this list, many of which weigh 25 pounds or above, The Twin + is a mere 23 pounds. Extra plus: It's Disney approved, meaning you won't have to downsize if you go to the Magic Kingdom for vacation.

Zoe offers a wide range of accessory options (including a storage backpack and stroller-carry straps), but parents appreciate that quite a few are included: The parent cup holder, two child cup holders, a snack up and a double belly bar come with your purchase. Even on quite a few luxury strollers, you spend extra for those accessories.

Although it functions like a full-size stroller in many ways, keep in mind that The Twin V2 is still on the smaller side, so that comes with a few disadvantages. Also, while there is an under-carriage basket, it’s on the smaller side for a double stroller (though you can purchase the parent organizer to gain a little more storage space).

Community Reviews
  • “I have the Zoe and I love it! Haven’t had any handling problems, but I use it mostly on sidewalks.”

  • “The Zoe strollers fold to nothing, and they're super lightweight and easy to open/close. They are Disney-approved (not that that's really a factor for most), and they are just more practical for me.”

  • “I have the Zoe! … Super light weight, can steer with one hand, compact, fits through normal doorways, not crazy expensive.”

Whenever you invest in an Uppababy stroller, you know you’re getting a product that’s durable and well-made. The brand’s G-Link 2 stroller is much the same — although a little more basic and more affordable.

Like other lightweight umbrella strollers, it has an impressively compact fold and a narrow frame. But the G-Link also has a longer list of nice-to-have features than many comparable umbrella strollers, such as a removable cup holder, UPF 50+ sunshade, multiple recline options and undercarriage basket (although the storage is much less than other Uppababy models). If you’re looking for a high-end travel stroller or a lightweight double that can function as your everyday stroller, the G-Link is a solid choice.

One standout feature are the G-Link’s wheels. Most lightweight side-by-side double strollers have six wheels, but the G-Link’s design has just four — this makes the stroller easier maneuver and smaller when folded, too.

The G-Link isn’t compatible with infant car seats, so know that you won’t be able to use this with one or two newborns.

Community Reviews
  • “It’s lightweight, great for travel, easy to get in and out of the car with a one step fold. We do lots of walks around the neighborhood but I also need it to be good for on-the-go grocery shopping, etc. It isn’t car seat adaptable, but I’ll just baby wear the first three months. I didn’t originally like the idea of the side-by-side type of stroller but after talking to a friend with twins she said they are so much better because they are typically way lighter and easy to fold and unfold than the ones with rumble seats and multiple configurations.”

  • “We bought an Uppababy G-Link because it was similar to the Donkey in the ways that we cared about (taking infants without a car seat). But much cheaper!”

Why We Love It

Families expecting a new baby who also have a toddler at home are often faced with a tricky decision: to upgrade to a double stroller or not to upgrade to a double stroller. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Sit and Stand is an excellent option for parents in this predicament because it combines the best of both worlds. You’ll get the flexibility and extra storage space of a double without having to commit to the extra bulk.

What to Expect parents say the Joovy is ideal for families whose children are spaced a few years apart. A newborn can ride in the front seat using an infant car seat, then sit in the regular seat once they’re 3 months old. Older toddlers can sit or stand on the rear bench, or if you have two children who are a little closer in age (like a newborn and a 2-year-old), you can also opt to add on a second full rear seat with a five-point harness. This clever design means there are a number of ways your older child can ride in the stroller depending how interested (or not) they are in riding or walking.

Flexibility aside, parents say the Caboose Ultralight is a nice stroller to push with some great features. The canopy extends all the way over the back, there’s plenty of storage and the snack tray is included. At 22 pounds (before any additional seats), it’s also one of the most lightweight double strollers on our list.

As is, the Caboose Ultralight works for an infant/toddler in the front seat and older child to sit or stand on the reach bench. Here’s what you’ll need to buy in order to use it with children of different ages:

  • To add a second full-sized seat: Purchase and install a second full-sized seat ($52) to replace the rear bench.
  • To travel with a newborn: You’ll need a compatible infant car seat (you can see the full list on Joovy’s website) along with an adapter.

One thing to keep in mind is that the rear bench is not a full-size seat, and it only has a three-point harness (which isn’t as safe as a five-point harness, according to the AAP). It’s really best for older toddlers or preschoolers who might sit in it for shorter periods but would not be appropriate for an infant.

Community Reviews
  • “I have a Joovy Caboose and it’s great for two kids. My kids are 22 months apart, so 1 and 3 now and it works great for us still. I took the back seat out earlier in the year when my oldest wanted to walk more (around 2.5 years).”

  • “I just bought this stroller! I really like it. I was a little on the fence with it after reading reviews, but my friend has the same stroller and we trekked all over Washington D.C., in and out of museums, with no issues. That trip gave me enough confidence to go forward with it. Perks: Folds smaller than my single stroller, has three different seat options for toddler.”

  • “Biggest perk is it is one of the more affordable small folding double strollers! It is long with the tray and canopy so I have had to pull those off to make it fit in the trunk of one of my old cars. I LOVE the different seat options for the second seat. Sit, stand or an actual seat.”

Why We Love It

If you don’t need a full-size double stroller with lots of extra features, the Delta Children City Street LX is a good choice. You can’t beat this umbrella-style double stroller when it comes to affordability. It’s surprisingly durable and easy to maneuver for the price point, though some taller parents say the handles are on the low side.

Crucially, the lightweight umbrella frame is also easy to fold — and ultra compact when folded, too. This makes it not only one of the best double strollers for travel but also one of the best double strollers for times when you aren’t going anywhere. Once folded, it’s small enough to fit in most closets, so you won’t be tripping over it in your house or garage.

Another plus: Its narrow frame means it's one of the few side-by-side double strollers that can fit through most doorways. Just keep in mind that it’s low frills with only cup holders (no trays), small canopies and zero underseat storage. It fits kids up to 35 pounds each.

There’s no straightforward answer to this, as it really comes down to your family’s circumstances and personal preference. In general, though, the main reasons a family might consider a double stroller is because they fall into one of the following groups:

  • Expecting twins: Most parents of twins find that a double stroller is helpful at some stage, although it may not be essential in the very beginning. When buying a double stroller for twins, you’ll want to check that the two seats are appropriate for two children of the same age. For example, if you want to push both babies in a double stroller from day one, it will need to accommodate either two infant bassinets, two infant car seats or a combination of the two. Another option is to purchase a convertible stroller and baby-wear one twin in a baby carrier while the other twin rides in the stroller, which is set up as a single. The benefit of this is that it’s generally easier to push a single stroller vs. a double (especially when it’s configured with a newborn bassinet or infant car seat, as these attachments can add weight and bulk). You can then add the second seat when your children are a little older.
  • Expecting a second baby with a toddler at home: You’ll want to consider the age of your older child and how much longer she might want to ride in a stroller. For example, most 2- and even 3-year-olds will sit in a stroller at least some of the time, but they may also be increasingly interested in walking or riding a scooter on neighborhood streets. If you have an older toddler or preschooler, you might get away with using your existing single stroller for a few months after baby number two arrives (either by baby-wearing your newborn or purchasing a riderboard attachment for your older tot) and avoid investing in a second stroller. If you do buy a double stroller, convertible options are a popular choice, because they offer the most flexibility: You can downsize back to a single when your older child outgrows the stroller phase.

Stroller wagons are pretty much exactly what they sound like: A wagon-shaped stroller with handles. The main benefit of a stroller wagon is that it can fit two to three children, while still leaving you with some storage space. These products can be a great option for shorter, more leisurely adventures, such as walks around the neighborhood or to the beach on vacation.

But for most families, a stroller wagon isn’t the best choice as a primary stroller. Stroller wagons are bulkier and harder to push than regular strollers. Navigating grocery store aisles and narrow sidewalks, maneuvering around objects or getting a large wagon in and out of the trunk of a car is much trickier than with a regular stroller.

If you do purchase a stroller wagon, make sure any seats have a five-point harness. Many models on the market only have a three-point harness, which the AAP considers less safe.

There’s no one type of double stroller that is best because every family’s needs are different. That being said, there are a few different types of double strollers, and one might be a better option for you depending on how old your children are or what type of area you live in. Here are the three main types of double strollers:

  • Side-by-side double strollers: As you probably guessed from the name, these double strollers have seats that are positioned next to each other. In side-by-side double strollers, both children are seated at the same level, and both seats are usually the same size. This type of double stroller is generally easy to turn and maneuver and fit easily into most car trunks. However, side-by-side double strollers are wide and can be a tight squeeze through narrow doorways and aisles.
  • In-line double strollers: This type of double stroller has two seats, one in front of the other in a single file. Often, one seat is raised higher than the other (picture stadium-style seating, also called tandem seating). If you’re expecting twins, be sure to pick one that is made for two car seats or bassinets. In-line double strollers are narrower than side-by-side double strollers, making them easier to navigate in tight doorways and crowded sidewalks. One seat may recline more and have more legroom and accessories, such as a cup holder, which can make your older child happy. Additionally, in some styles, kids can face each other so they can interact and talk.
  • Convertible strollers: If you have a toddler and are expecting another baby, a convertible stroller may be a good choice. Convertible strollers generally start out as single strollers with the option to add additional seat configurations for a second (and sometimes even a third) child. Convertible strollers usually have an in-line design.

You can typically use a double stroller for babies as young as newborns up through toddlerhood. You’ll just want to make sure that your stroller is capable of accommodating the right seats needed, whether that’s two bassinets or infant car seats, or a car seat and toddler seat.

It’s surprisingly difficult to find a double stroller that offers seat configurations for newborn twins. It’s much more common to find in-line convertible double strollers that let you push one newborn and one toddler. Two newborns require a double stroller that can accommodate either:

  • Two infant car seats: Called a travel system, infant car seats are generally attached using adapters that are usually sold separately. Many brands offer the option to purchase a travel system bundle that includes the stroller, a compatible car seat and one set of adapters, but for twins you’ll almost always need to purchase at least one additional infant car seat and adapter set. When in doubt, check the manufacturer website to see which car seat brands and models are compatible with the stroller you’re considering.
  • Two newborn bassinets: Bassinets take up significantly more space than an infant car seat, so it’s less common to find a double stroller that offers this seating configuration. But some do, such as the Bugaboo Donkey 5 Twin.
  • A combination of the two: Many in-line convertible strollers allow you to attach a newborn bassinet up top and an infant car seat below. This can offer additional flexibility (not to mention more stroller options), but the downside is that you’ll still need to purchase a separate infant car seat for twin number two to use in the car.

Double strollers that can’t accommodate two newborns can still work for twin families later on — you’ll usually just have to wait to use them until your baby is 3 to 4 months old and big enough to ride in the regular seat. At this age, infants have better head and neck control. In the meantime, twin families often opt to baby-wear one twin while the other one rides in the stroller in a newborn bassinet or infant car seat.
